8th Grade students were given the task of testing the Boston Wireless Network. The software I-stumbler was used in testing different locations. Students broke up into five groups and mapped out a route to take. Each student tested their location and answered the following questions
1. What percentage is the signal strength based on I-stumbler?
2. How strong is the signal from the laptop wireless indicator (Snow cone)?
3. How long does it take it get online?
4. Where you able to download any files, if so how long does it take to download?
All questions were reported using the I-Movie. Using Google Maps, students put place marks on the location of their report.
Currently 8th graders are learning about the Pythagorean Theorem. Using the Boston Wireless Network Map students estimated the distance between network radios. Also using this feature students gave their thoughts and opinions on how the wireless network would effect our community.

a wireless network will seem acentric in my urban community where most houses dont have internet.But Thee pitome for a good network would be one with no problems but we are not yet there.
Open air Boston has 66 percent. it has a strong signal the bars are all up on the snow cone. It only took a few seconds so it was reletively fast it aso took about 18 seconds to download a file from Mr Newmans website.

The wireless network will effect are community by learning more things about technology.We will get stuff more easier.

I was wary about downloading a file because i thought it would think it would have took a long tome and it would have sabotaged my computer because it might of froze my computer.
A WIRELESS NETWORK WOULD EFFECTED OR COMMUNITY IN POSITIVE WAY. IT WOULD NOT MAKE YOU FELL IRATE. YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE WARY WHERE YOU GO BECAUSE YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE A LOT OF CONNECTION. IT STILL WOULD BE A GOOD THING THOUGH. THERE WOULD NOT BE A LOT OF WIRES EVERYWHERE BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY A WIRELESS NETWORK.
i think its important to have an internet access because people in Boston would be able to go online without having to get irate about it.
Also it will be very effective because it will bring a lot of attention and internet access to our city.And because it would be a safe thing that wouldn't sabotage our community,but it will make people wary because of the attention that we are getting.
wireless network would be effective because then people could use there laptop any were else in the network.
it also would help because then if some one gets irate they can just switch the network.but you have to be way and look at the cone at the top. so ten you make sure you have the rite wireless network.

how will a wireless network effect our community? we are on 24 intervile st we have gotten galoxy internet survice. a wireless network could help our community in many ways such as helping people and more info ether on dilemmas on health encounters or on animal isues.
i think that it is very important because people need inernet because their kids need to do their homework some are already irate about the money they pay to expensive companys for internet but the people need to be very wary because the about this offer because it is true oppretunty
